TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Tallahassee Police Department has arrested four men in connection to the death of O’Bryan Brandy.

Probable Cause Statements

The men were arrested after an investigation led TPD to a house on Laura Lee Avenue according to TPD spokeswoman Officer Susan Newhouse. Derrick T. Butler, 20, Davin C. Bowers, 22, Nelson T. Alexander, 20 and Deondre S. Handsford, 20 were all arrested on charges of first degree murder.

Brandy, 29, was found dead yesterday in a taxi cab just before 2 a.m. said Newhouse. Brandy died of gunshot wounds he suffered during what TPD believes was an armed robbery she said.

Newhouse said the investigation showed the homicide was the “direct result of a conspiracy to commit armed robbery by multiple perpetrators.” All four men were transferred to the Leon County Jail.
