FAMU receives grant from the government

Historically Black Colleges and Universities received more than $200 million in government grants. Florida A&M University was awarded more then six million dollars to go towards programs, renovations, or additions that may improve campus facilities. The funds can also be used to purchase, rent or lease scientific or laboratory equipment. The five-year grant went to HBCU’s in 19 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
