Youth Leadership Tallahassee Government and Media Day

Today was Youth Leadership Tallahassee’s Government and Media Day. YLT is a yearlong program for high school juniors. It helps to get them actively involved in the community, as well as prepare them to become future community leaders. Today’s event was to help the members become more familiar with local and state government, as well as the media. YLT members were able to interact with government officials like Mayor John Marks and City Commissioner Nick Maddox. There were also media professionals at the event from local and state media organizations.
